Job summary

Nidec Corporation's engineering lab in Missouri is seeking a detail-oriented technician to set up, test, and analyze motors and systems to meet agency specifications. You will help update and fabricate automated test equipment in an ISO 17025 accredited lab.

You will perform automated and manual motor tests, maintain test gear, prepare thermocouple wiring, and assist with lab organization and 6S improvements while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree in Engineering, completed or in process, or 2 years related experience with electrical mechanical devices
  • Desire to learn new processes and systems
  • Ability to make spreadsheets and graphs
  • Work as a supportive team member
  • Familiarity and ability to effectively use electronic test equipment - multimeters, oscilloscopes, etc.
  • Good hands-on skills such as soldering and mechanical assembly
  • Ability to collaborate with multi-functional teams
  • Good communication skills. (written and verbal)
  • Strong technical and problem-solving skills

Responsibilities

  • Perform automated and manual tests on electric motors to determine proper design and function.

  • Attach thermocouple wire to motors to measure temperature

Job Summary
