Qualifications

Job Summary The Quality Technician is responsible for ensuring the products or services of the company meet the established quality standards.

Job Description

  • Conduct inspections on products or services to ensure they meet quality standards
  • Identify quality issues and recommend improvements to the production team
  • Create quality control reports and maintain accurate records of product or service inspections
  • Program, set up, and operate CMM machines to perform precise dimensional inspections of components
  • Train production personnel on quality procedures and standards
  • Collaborate with other departments to improve overall quality and efficiency
  • Participate in audits of the quality management system
  • Works to achieve operational targets within job area, with significant impact on achievement of results for the team
  • Work consists of tasks that are typically not routine
  • Works independently under limited supervision
  • Frequently required to apply discretion within broad operational boundaries and procedures
  • Communicates with contacts typically within the department on matters that involve obtaining or providing information on matters of significant importance to the team
  • Explains practices, procedures, and policies in order to reach agreement
  • Responsible for making moderate changes in systems and processes to solve problems or improve effectiveness of team
  • Expected to independently propose solutions to problems for manager review
  • Responsible for providing guidance, coaching, and training to other employees within team
  • May delegate tasks within a team or be responsible for review of work

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 7+ years of experience
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Experience with quality control processes and procedures
  • Perform routine calibration, maintenance, and probe qualification on CMM equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 or similar quality management system
  • Languages English mandatory. Other language skills are helpful
