The engineer will develop product-specific test plans, gather data, and drive continual improvement using PFMEA, Control Plans, and Lean Six Sigma tools. Travel is expected to be limited.

Qualifications

• Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving mindset.
• Excellent written, verbal, and telephone communication skills.
• Proficiency with computer systems including Microsoft Office and role-specific software.
• High attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Willingness to travel less than 5%.

Responsibilities

• Investigate problems and report root cause and corrective actions.
• Work with cross-functional teams on 8D reports.
• Own quality planning documentation and corrective actions for a specific area.
• Develop product-specific test plans as part of APQP.
• Gather process/product data and report to quality team for improvements.
• Use quality tools such as Control Plans, PFMEA, and Lean Six Sigma analyses.
• Perform material testing and provide recommendations for purchased products.
• Provide customer-requested documentation of claim details.
• Follow processes for customer deductions and act as neutral party in claims.
