Job summary

AMETEK Solidstate Controls in Columbus, OH, seeks a Quality Engineer to lead root cause investigations, support MRB dispositions, and drive process improvements. You will analyze defects, collaborate with Manufacturing and Engineering to strengthen processes, and provide escalation support for complex issues.

The role partners with a manufacturing-focused team to ensure compliant, robust quality systems and traceability. Prior experience with regulated environments is a plus.

Qualifications

• Associate/bachelor degree in engineering or related field with 2+ years quality experience.
• Experience interpreting drawings and resolving manufacturing issues across functions.
• Proficiency with Word/Excel and documentation tools.
• Right to work in the U.S. and access to export-controlled information.

Responsibilities

• Lead structured root cause investigations and drive corrective/preventive actions.
• Support MRB dispositions with Engineering/Operations.
• Document technical justifications and reduce repeat MRB drivers.
• Analyze defects and trends; drive data-driven improvements with quality tools.
• Collaborate with Manufacturing/Engineering to improve process capability and work instructions.
• Provide technical escalation support to Technicians for complex issues.
