Job summary

Nelson Global in Wisconsin seeks a Quality Engineer to support plant quality performance and KPIs. You will lead problem solving, support new product launches, and work with operations, engineering, and customers to identify issues and prevent defects through strong process control and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities include leading 8D/A3 investigations, managing change control, supporting NPI and PPAP, and driving corrective actions with data-driven analyses while ensuring IATF 16949

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 3–5 years of experience in manufacturing quality.
• Experience with APQP, PPAP, 8D, PFMEA, and Control Plans.
• CQE or Six Sigma certification is a plus.
• Experience supporting IATF 16949 requirements and audits.
• Experience in metal forming, fabrication, or welding environments is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Support plant and customer quality performance (KPIs) through daily quality activities.
• Lead investigations of quality issues and drive systemic corrective actions.
• Lead customer corrective actions with root cause analysis and sustainable fixes.
• Manage change control including process and product changes and customer notification.
• Develop quality plans for NPI and transfers in collaboration with manufacturing engineering.
• Support COPQ reduction through data analysis and improvements.
• Establish and maintain PFMEA, Control Plans, work instructions.
• Support PPAP submissions, first articles, and ongoing approvals.
