Job summary

CDF Corporation is seeking a Quality Engineer to champion quality from the factory floor to customers and back, coordinating with Manufacturing, Process Engineering, Maintenance, Customer Service, and Quality Control. You will investigate quality concerns, drive corrective actions, and convey results to customers with clarity.

Regulatory compliance and food-safety standards are integral to this role, with occasional on-site visits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
• At least three years of quality experience in manufacturing.
• Experience in plastics, packaging, or regulated manufacturing.
• Knowledge of ISO quality systems, SPC, validation, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement.
• Familiarity with food-contact packaging regulations and customer compliance requirements.
• Experience developing production and launch Control Plans.

Responsibilities

• Own the process when a customer quality concern arises and drive it to resolution.
• Investigate root cause, coordinate analysis, implement corrective actions, and verify effectiveness.
• Prepare clear and professional reports and communicate with customers throughout the process.
• Own onsite customer quality visits and travel to customer facilities as needed.
• Develop Voice of the Customer metrics, scorecards, and quality trends to identify opportunities.
• Lead cross-functional teams to strengthen manufacturing processes and systems.
