Job summary

Actalent seeks a Quality Engineer to lead Quality Engineering across the product lifecycle, ensuring contract review, requirements management, design reviews, verification/validation, and production release. You will coordinate with Purchasing, Engineering, Program Management, and Manufacturing during transitions to production.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years in Quality Engineering, strong ASME Y14.5 skills, ERP proficiency, and experience with CAR/SCAR processes.

Qualifications

• BS in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or equivalent
• 5+ years of Quality Engineering experience
• Proficiency in ASME/ANSI Y14.5 and reading mechanical drawings
• Knowledge of electro-mechanical assemblies, IPC standards, schematics, and RF test equipment
• Familiarity with Software Quality Assurance, automated MRP systems, and CA/CAR systems
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and oral
• Proficiency in ERP systems
• Proficiency in Requirements and Configuration Management tools
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products
• Proficiency in Minitab

Responsibilities

• Lead Quality Engineering activities throughout the product life cycle, including contract review, requirements management, design reviews, verification/validation, and release to production
• Initiate and drive internal Corrective Actions Requests (CARs) as required
• Assist Supply Chain Quality Assurance activities, including approving/auditing suppliers, conducting source inspections of hardware/software, and supporting Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs)
• Provide an interface between Purchasing, Engineering, Program Management, and Manufacturing during transition of new products from design to production
• Support Program Quality Assurance activities for production programs, including FAI, MRB, CCB, FRB, and Work Product review and approval
• Manage high-priority tasks across multiple projects simultaneously in development
• Develop inspection plans and processes for receiving and final inspection activities
• Determine process capability (Cpk) and defect trends based on statistical analysis
• Support continuous improvement initiatives
