Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Quality Engineer to monitor, maintain, and improve quality indicators across manufacturing shops and our supply base. The role supports the objective to provide the highest quality vehicles to customers.

Responsibilities include developing quality standards for suppliers and in-house processes, aiding design changes, and solving shop issues while collaborating with cross-functional teams. A BS in engineering and experience with lean methods and PPAP are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering required.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
• Experience drafting drawings, reports, manuals, and specifications.
• Experience with lean manufacturing and root-cause analysis.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage quality standards for suppliers, in-house shops, and vehicles.
• Manage change-point processes for suppliers, shops, and design.
• Provide technical support and daily problem-solving for part and shop issues.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to resolve complex problems.
• Act as Quality Window Person to Design and provide Design Technical Support.
• Develop technical procedures and produce engineering reports.
• Manage field and warranty issues in the responsible area.
