Job summary

Actalent is seeking a Senior Quality Technician to perform in-process and final inspections, reading engineering drawings and GD&T symbols, and ensuring products meet strict specifications. You will use micrometers and calipers, document nonconformances, and support first article and setup approvals.

You will collaborate with manufacturing and engineering teams on root cause analysis and corrective actions, while promoting safe, compliant inspection practices.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical diploma in mechanical engineering technology or similar field.
• Hands-on quality control experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, GD&T, and technical specifications.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-process and final inspections to verify conformance to specifications.
• Use precision tools (micrometers, calipers) for measurements.
• Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, GD&T symbols and specs.
• Document nonconformances and report deviations clearly.
• Support first article inspections and setup approvals for new processes.
• Apply SPC to monitor process stability and trends.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Coach and guide other quality technicians on inspection methods.
