Job summary

Gems Setra in Boxborough, MA is seeking a Quality Engineer to own internal and external quality for assigned mini-factories. You will lead audits, drive continuous improvement, and ensure products meet customer and corporate quality standards.

You will use RBS tools, develop PFMEA and Control Plans, support APQP for new products, and mentor teams through MRB and containment actions, with a focus on reducing defects and supporting ISO and supplier quality. Travel domestically as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science degree required; engineering degree preferred.
• 3+ years relevant experience in manufacturing environment.
• Excellent academic record (GPA: 3.0 minimum).
• Ability to read and interpret drawings, regulations, and quality system procedures.
• Ability to write routine reports and correspondence and to speak effectively before groups.
• Knowledge of statistical process control, design of experiments, DF manufacturing, and Six Sigma methods.

Responsibilities

• Provide Quality leadership to drive continuous improvement in key quality metrics.
• Lead root cause analysis and resolution of complex quality issues.
• Utilize RSB/ Ralliant tools to implement process improvements.
• Maintain and update procedures, processes, and documentation.
• Generate Engineering Change requests for corrections to drawings and BOM errors.
• Lead internal and supplier audits and manage MRB reviews.
