Job summary

Wheatland Tube, a division of Zekelman Industries, is seeking a Quality Engineer Intern for an on-site, full-time program in Warren, OH. You will participate in audits, calibrations, and improvement initiatives to boost product quality and process efficiency.

The internship runs May 24, 2027–August 13, 2027 and targets analytical, process-driven students. The role offers paid compensation, training, networking, and tuition support opportunities.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Metallurgy, or related field.
• Strong analytical, decision-making and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; Access knowledge is a plus.
• Strong organizational and cross-team coordination abilities.
• Authorized to work in the United States and available to travel for the Internship Summit.

Responsibilities

• Perform process audits and verify quality and operations plans.
• Conduct time studies to improve process efficiency.
• Assist with material stock quality assessment and disposition.
• Research inspection technologies and quality tools.
• Support calibration system and documentation tasks.
• Promote safe work practices and support continuous improvement.
