Job summary

Zekelman Industries’ Wheatland Tube division in Blytheville, AR, is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering Intern to support projects that improve efficiency, productivity, and product quality across the plant. You’ll work with the Department Manager, maintenance team, and cross‑functional groups on layout planning, process flow optimization, and continuous improvement.

This paid, on‑site internship runs May 24, 2027 through August 13, 2027.

Qualifications

• Current college student pursuing a bachelor's degree in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering.
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Plan and design layouts for plant efficiency using CAD tools and drafting software.
• Analyze workflows and material movement to optimize personnel and equipment placement.
• Establish and support labor standards using work measurement programs and time study analysis.
• Collect and analyze operational data to improve process effectiveness and plant layout.
• Lead or assist in continuous improvement projects to enhance quality, throughput, and cost savings.
