Job summary

nVent is seeking a seasoned leader to drive supplier quality for the Electrical Connections business. You will mentor the SQE team, align goals with Sourcing, Engineering, and Operations, and lead corrective actions and PPAP activities across suppliers and products.

Establish metrics for quality, delivery, and cost, and foster supplier certification programs. The role requires travel up to domestically and internationally, with a focus on continuous improvement and robust quality systems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, quality management, or related field.
• 8+ years in supplier quality, quality engineering, or manufacturing quality roles preferred.
• 3+ years in a leadership role. ASQ CQE or CQM preferred. Proficiency with ISO 9001, APQP, PPAP, SPC, FMEA, GD&T.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement the supplier quality strategy for the Electrical Connections business.
• Grow and mentor the SQE team while remaining actively involved in key initiatives.
• Partner with Sourcing, Engineering, and Operations to align supplier quality goals with business priorities.
• Support the resolution of supplier quality issues and corrective actions (SCARs).
• Guide PPAP for purchased materials and finished goods.
• Collaborate with Sourcing to establish supplier performance metrics across quality, delivery, and cost.
• Help develop supplier certification and recognition programs to strengthen partnerships.
• Conduct supplier audits, assessments, and risk evaluations to support compliance and performance.
• Share standard processes with suppliers and advance continuous improvement; support on-site visits and audits.
