Job summary

Nidec is seeking a Quality professional for our North Mankato, MN facility to support QA activities across raw materials, in-process, and finished products. You will lead Lean initiatives, develop suppliers to meet quality standards, and assist with customer complaints through swift root-cause analysis.

The role requires 2–4 years in manufacturing, strong leadership, and problem-solving skills. ASQ certification is preferred; Spanish is a plus. US citizenship is required for this site.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of manufacturing experience, preferably electrical generation or related field.
• ASQ certification is desirable but not required.
• Spanish is a beneficial second language.
• Bachelor’s or associate degree in a technical or science field required.

Responsibilities

• Support QA activities by setting quality assurance testing models for raw materials, in-process, and finished products.
• Lead 6S events, Kaizen and LEAN Enterprise activities.
• Develop suppliers to meet quality requirements and qualify new suppliers.
• Support customer complaints with expedient problem resolution and failure analysis.
• Guide inspection staff through disposition of non-conforming material and GD&T prints.
• Develop QC plans and PPAPs for new products and implement lean manufacturing and error-proofing.
