Job summary

Collins Aerospace, based in Santa Isabel, Puerto Rico, seeks a Quality Engineer II to lead product and process quality improvements across aerospace operations. You will develop quality plans, perform root cause analysis, and drive corrective actions in collaboration with manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain teams.

The role requires a STEM degree, at least two years of relevant experience, and bilingual English/Spanish. U.S.

Qualifications

• Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM).
• Minimum of 2 years of prior relevant experience.
• Communication skills in English and Spanish (verbal and written).
• U.S. citizenship is required.
• Experience in Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Supplier Quality, or related in regulated environments.
• Proficient with PFMEA, Control Plans, Process Flow Diagrams, PPAP, MRB, 8D, Six Sigma, Gage R&R, MSA and statistical tools.
• Experience with supplier quality management and SAP or similar systems; ability to read drawings/specs.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement quality plans to support product and process quality engineering.
• Perform root cause analysis and drive corrective and preventive actions.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain teams to enhance quality and processes.
• Facilitate internal and external audits, including regulatory and customer audits.
• Investigate deviations, defects and non-conformances, implementing recurrence-preventive solutions.
• Use PFMEA, Control Plans, Process Flow Diagrams and statistical tools to identify risks.
• Prepare and present quality reports, metrics and KPIs to leadership and customers.
• Participate in real-time problem resolution with production and Quality Clinic teams.
• Provide leadership in continuous improvement initiatives and lean methodologies.
