Job summary

AeroVironment, Inc. is seeking a Quality Engineer II to ensure the overall quality of products and services, coordinating CI resources, and implementing KPI metrics.

The role covers product readiness, audits, and CAPA processes to prevent non-conformances while aligning with customer definitions of fitness for use. The QE II will engage with Quality Technicians, drive corrective actions, and collaborate across functions to reduce defects and improve flow.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in related discipline plus 5 years’ experience or Master’s degree with at least 3 years’ experience or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2–5 years of related experience.
• Knowledge of DMAIC, FMEA, PPAP, SPC, Gage R&R and lean manufacturing.
• Demonstrated knowledge of ISO 9001:AS9100, AS9102 standards and audits.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate work with Quality Technicians and inspectors.
• Provide internal auditing support.
• Drive corrective action and failure analysis in a timely manner.
• Participate in Product Readiness Reviews and coordinate Final Inspection activities.
• Guide quality enhancement strategies and interpretation of workmanship criteria.
• Perform process capabilities analysis and implement inspection plans.
• Review customer contracts and determine requirements to flow down.
• Support PPAPs and first article inspections.
• Communicate with customer representatives to capture needs.
