Job summary

Precision Castparts Corp. is seeking a Quality Engineer II in California to monitor and improve our quality systems and processes.

You will inspect materials, equipment, and processes, and coordinate corrective actions with internal teams, suppliers, and customers. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related field and 3+ years in quality engineering; ASQ certification and NADCAP/ISO 17025 experience are highly preferred.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required in Engineering, Materials Science, or metallurgical-related field.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect materials, equipment and processes to ensure quality standards.
  • Coordinate and manage Front End Corrective Actions (NCRs/CARs).
  • Lead Quality Alerts and Replacement Metrics, drive corrective actions.
  • Manage Stamp control process and training matrices.
  • Oversee supplier quality, SCARs and nonconforming products.
  • Perform Failure Quality Analysis on nonconforming tests.
  • Develop and implement quality control systems and procedures.
  • Collaborate with operations to implement controls and improvements.
  • Review quality documentation and participate in customer audits.
  • Lead internal audits and support 6S programs.
  • Train production staff on QMS and inspection procedures.
