Job summary

Clarios in Yuma, AZ is seeking a Quality Engineer to design and implement quality tests, perform SPC analyses, and lead audits across manufacturing facilities. You will drive continuous improvement, tackle customer quality concerns, and guide cross-functional teams to ensure product quality and compliance with APQP requirements.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a technical field, 1–2 years in Quality Engineering, CQE or equivalent experience, and knowledge of ISO/TS standards and SPC.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, or related technical field.
  • 1-2 years of Quality Engineering experience with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Working knowledge of ISO/TS Quality Standards and SPC.
  • ASQ CQE certification or equivalent Quality Engineering experience.
  • Knowledge of APQP requirements.
  • Strong statistical analysis skills and quality improvement methodologies.

Job description

What You Will Do

How You Will Do It
  • Perform statistical analyses including capability studies, regression analysis, T-tests, F-tests, and control chart evaluations.
  • Facilitate and drive Kepner-Tregoe (K-T) problem-solving methodologies throughout manufacturing operations.
  • Lead cross-functional teams in developing and maintaining Control Plans, FMEAs, and Level 3 quality documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with ISO/TS quality standards and internal quality system requirements.
  • Utilize data analysis and reporting tools to provide database support and quality insights to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with engineering, operations, and quality teams to improve processes and drive operational excellence.
What We Look For
Required
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Mathematics, or a related technical field.
  • 1-2 years of Quality Engineering experience demonstrating strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Working knowledge of ISO/TS Quality Standards and Statistical Process Control (SPC).
  • ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) certification or equivalent Quality Engineering experience.
  • Knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) requirements.
  • Strong statistical analysis skills and experience with quality improvement methodologies.
Preferred
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English.
  • Lean Manufacturing experience.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams and continuous improvement projects.
  • Experience with Control Plans, FMEAs, and quality documentation systems.
