Job summary

CSP Innovations, Inc. is seeking a Quality Engineer II for our Huntington, Indiana Plant.

You will be the face of the facility to the customer and work hands-on with production, quality, and engineering to assure the quality of your assigned program. Qualified candidates will have a four-year degree and 10–15 years of quality/quality engineering experience in the automotive industry, plus strong communication, math, and mechanical aptitude.

Qualifications

• Four year degree required and 10-15 years of quality and/or quality engineering experience in the Automotive Industry.
• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
• Strong math skills and mechanical aptitude.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding to resolve conflicts and to handle issues involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Responsibilities

• Liaise with customer and supplier on matters relating to assigned product and quality system requirements.
• Head APQP efforts and update documentation as needed.
• Develop process flow diagrams and process control plans.
• Establish Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis plans and quality inspection instructions.
• Train employees on quality issues and drive continuous improvement in manufacturing processes.

Job Description

We are seeking a Quality Engineer II for ourHuntington, Indiana Plant. In this position, you will be the face of the facility to the customer. This is a hands‑on position. You will be working with production, quality, and engineering, and are responsible for the quality of your assigned program.

Essential Job Functions

Become familiar with customer Specific Quality System Requirements including the customer specific portal. Act as liaison with external parties (customer & supplier) on matters relating to assigned product. Head all APQP efforts, responsible for reviewing and updating as needed. Process flow diagrams. Process control plans. Process Failure Mode and Effect Analysis plans. Manufacturing work instructions. Quality Inspection instructions. Error proofing effectiveness. Internally collected variable and attribute data. BOM accuracy. Responsible for managing customer issues. Internal product sorts / quality alerts. Interim corrective actions. Permanent corrective actions. Answering to the customer on any concerns/issues they have, including written and verbal. Train employees to quality issues as needed. Develop, document, and provide for continuous improvement in manufacturing processes, production, and quality through layered process auditing and scrap reduction. Read and Interpret GD & T and applying that knowledge as needed. Perform Problem-solving Techniques. Perform Process Capabilities using Statistical Techniques as needed. Be familiar with supplier PPAP’s and procedures. Supports IATF16949 and ISO14001 initiatives. Perform other related duties as required and assigned.

Requirements

Four year degree required and 10-15 years of quality and/or quality engineering experience in the Automotive Industry. Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.
