Job summary

A leading composite component manufacturer located in Seguin, Texas, is seeking a Quality Auditor. In this role, you will conduct product audits, generate reports, and support process improvements. The ideal candidate will have experience in inspection and auditing, a High School diploma, and proficiency in Microsoft Office. This role requires travel to customer locations as needed, and offers a team-focused environment with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

  • Ability to write simple correspondence.
  • Experience with inspection and auditing products preferred.
  • Basic knowledge of SPC, GR&R preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct product audits and keep necessary records.
  • Generate Non-Conformity Reports for non-conforming products.
  • Support receiving and shipments including dock audits.
  • Support receiving, shipments, and MRB/scrap monitoring; assist in process improvements.
  • Perform GR&R and maintain record retention compliance; travel to customer locations as needed.

Our comprehensive offering includes: affordable medical, dental, and vision care; flexible spending accounts; life insurance; 401k with company match and much, much more.**Job Description****Essential Job Functions*** Conduct Product Audits* Keep audit records according to inspection plans.* Generate Non-Conformity Reports in case of finding Non-Conforming Products.* Release products that meet Inspection requirements* Bring reports of readings and measurements made to products.* Report on audit findings in cases of non-conformities.* Production support in quality criteria* Perform GR&R* Monitoring and control of MRB and scrap* Support for receiving and shipments (dock audits)* Support in the implementation of process improvements* Follow up on the instructions defined by the Quality Engineer.* Work collectively to solve problems.* Record retention compliance.* Basic knowledge in testing concepts, tools and methodologies* Ability to read and interpret blueprints (product drawings)* Knowledge of basic-relevant file formats* Ability to recognize quality defects and determine next steps: seriousness of issue, containment activities and countermeasure.* Create and revise systems and procedures by analyzing operation practices, record-keeping systems, forms of control, and personnel requirements, implementing change.* Participate, comply, and support the environmental, health and safety system requirements.* Other duties as assigned.* **Must be able to travel and work at our customer locations when needed.****Qualifications**To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Ability to write simple correspondence, and to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.* **Mathematical Skills-** Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs.* **Reasoning Ability-** Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.* **Computer Skills-** Competence in personal computer Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, e-mail) and familiar with other database related software.**Experience**Experience on inspection and auditing products preferred. Basic knowledge on measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, pin gauges and measuring tapes preferred. Basic Knowledge of SPC, GR&R preferred. 1+ years quality systems experience (is a plus). Corrective actions and root cause analysis. Demonstrated knowledge of production safe work practices. Knowledge and able to handle manual of shop tools.**Education**High School degree / GED.**Physical Requirements**The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.**Working Conditions**Will be required to work within the plant – factory environment where there is some exposure to noise, dust, fiberglass, and heat.
