Job summary

Manpower, Inc. is assisting a global automotive manufacturer in Detroit to hire a Quality Engineer.

You will support Manufacturing Engineering, Production, and Continuous Improvement teams, applying analytical skills to drive quality improvements in engine assembly operations. The role requires a Bachelor's in Engineering and 2–4 years in quality engineering in manufacturing, with knowledge of GD&T, CMM, SPC analysis, PFMEA, and blueprint interpretation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.
• 2–4 years of Quality Engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of GD&T and CMM operations.
• Experience with SPC analysis, PFMEA, and continuous improvement methodologies.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and evaluate product quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate quality objectives with manufacturing and other cross-functional departments.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives through error-proofing and mistake-proofing methodologies.
• Analyze assembly process and SPC data to identify trends and implement corrective actions.
• Utilize Advanced Quality Tools, including PFMEA, to support quality assembly processes.
• Work hands-on in a plant environment supporting engine assembly operations and quality improvements.
