Job summary

CSP Innovations OH Payroll Co., LLC in Conneaut, Ohio is seeking a Quality Engineer II to be the face of the facility to the customer. This hands-on role collaborates with production, quality, and engineering to ensure the quality of the assigned program.

The candidate will lead APQP efforts, review control plans, read GD&T, perform PFMEA, and drive continuous improvement through layered process audits and scrap reduction.

• Four year degree required and 10-15 years of quality/quality engineering experience in Automotive Industry.
• Excellent communication skills, verbal and written.

Responsibilities

• Be the face of the facility to the customer; hands-on role coordinating with production, quality, and engineering.
• Lead APQP efforts and review/update process flow diagrams and control plans.
• Read and interpret GD&T; perform PFMEA; implement continuous improvement in manufacturing and quality.
• Manage customer issues, quality alerts, and internal corrective actions; train staff as needed.
• Support supplier PPAPs and ensure compliance with IATF16949 and ISO14001.

Job Description

We are seeking a Quality Engineer II for our Conneaut Ohio Plant.

Position Summary

In this position, you will be the face of the facility to the customer. This is a hands‑on position. You will be working with production, quality, and engineering, and are responsible for the quality of your assigned program.

Essential Job Functions

Become familiar with customer Specific Quality System Requirements including the customer specific portal. Act as liaison with external parties (customer & supplier) on matters relating to assigned product. Head all APQP efforts, responsible for reviewing and updating as needed. Process flow diagrams. Process control plans. Process Failure Mode and Effect Analysis plans. Manufacturing work instructions. Quality Inspection instructions. Error proofing effectiveness. Internally collected variable and attribute data. BOM accuracy. Responsible for managing customer issues. Internal product sorts / quality alerts. Interim corrective actions. Permanent corrective actions. Answering to the customer on any concerns/issues they have, including written and verbal. Train employees to quality issues as needed. Develop, document, and provide for continuous improvement in manufacturing processes, production, and quality through layered process auditing and scrap reduction. Read and Interpret GD & T and applying that knowledge as needed. Perform Problem-solving Techniques. Perform Process Capabilities using Statistical Techniques as needed. Be familiar with supplier PPAP’s and procedures. Supports IATF16949 and ISO14001 initiatives. Perform other related duties as required and assigned.

Requirements

Four year degree required and 10-15 years of quality and/or quality engineering experience in the Automotive Industry. Excellent communication skills, verbal and written. Must possess strong math skills and mechanical aptitude. Ability to apply common sense understanding to resolve conflicts and to hand issues involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
