Job summary

Quintall in Mason, OH seeks a Quality Engineer to ensure product and process quality across value streams. You define standards, monitor KPIs, and drive improvements in line with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949.

You will work with SAP, CAQ, MES, and cross-functional teams, training staff and coordinating with suppliers to uphold quality.

This role requires a degree in engineering, 5+ years experience, Six Sigma belt, and strong problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's in Engineering or quality-related studies.
5+ years experience in quality engineering in manufacturing.
Six Sigma Yellow Belt or higher.
ISO 9001 knowledge; IATF 16949 and VDA 6.3 preferred.
Proficient with SAP and MS Office; CAQ/MES experience preferred.
Internal auditing knowledge preferred.
Fluent in English and local language.
Problem-solving with 8D, 5 Why, Ishikawa analysis.
Strong communication and training skills.
Ability to lead in non-routine situations.

Responsibilities

Define and specify activities, processes, and standards to meet quality requirements.
Monitor quality KPIs for the value stream.
Establish quality standards and guidelines and develop them.
Monitor and evaluate manufacturing processes against standards.
Report and troubleshoot deviations and defects.
Maintain responsibility for quality across multiple value streams.
Improve quality standards within the unit.
Work with limited supervision and potentially lead daily operations.
Train and review work of lower-level employees.
Communicate with departments regarding performance and standards.
Train employees on quality measures.
Communicate with suppliers to ensure quality of products.
Coach and support teams/interfaces across QCD functions.
