Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an early-career Quality Engineer to support fabrication operations, including precision machining and structural welding. You will work with mentors, partnering with manufacturing engineers, machinists, welders and inspectors to ensure parts meet drawings and specifications on the shop floor.

You'll learn within ISO 9001:2015 and AS9100 frameworks, assist with first part verification, PPAP packaging, weld documentation review, and NDT coordination while helping build

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Working knowledge of Excel or similar data analysis tools.
• Clear written and verbal communication; ability to work on-site in a fabrication shop.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings, routers, work instructions, and inspection plans for clarity and alignment to requirements.
• Support first part verification and PPAP documentation.
• Coordinate NDT activities with qualified personnel and review results.
• Assist writing NCRs and nonconformance records; track actions to closure.
• Spend significant time on the shop floor learning machining and welding processes.
