Job summary

Blue Origin LLC is seeking a skilled welder to join our operations team in the US. The role focuses on TIG welding aerospace stainless steel, aluminum, and inconel parts, following engineering drawings and quality controls. You will collaborate with engineers on design concepts and fabricate tooling for welding and assembly.

Candidate must demonstrate precision, fitment accuracy, and safe operation in an industrial setting while documenting records and complying with procedures.

Qualifications

• Experience with TIG welding of aerospace stainless steels and aluminum, inconel alloys.
• Ability to interpret engineering drawings.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to document and maintain accurate records.
• Ability to use precision hand tools, standard mechanical tools, and fabrication shop equipment; develop fixtures/tooling.
• Familiar with use of personal computers.

Responsibilities

• TIG weld aerospace stainless steel and inconel hardware using manual/automatic equipment.
• Weld preparation including cutting, blending, chamfering, cleaning parts.
• Design support and fabrication of tooling for welding and assembly.
• Communicate with engineers on design concepts and offer improvements.
• Perform Strip Welding and Installation on Flight Hardware.
• Review, edit and follow Work Instructions.
• Safely work within an industrial environment.
• Other duties as assigned.
