Job summary

Blue Origin is seeking an Associate - Technician to support fabrication work centers, assisting with manufacturing, production, logistics, and facilities in a fast-paced setting. The role emphasizes safety and attention to detail to ensure safe human spaceflight.

The team covers welders, fabricators, tube benders, and technicians who operate and maintain state-of-the-art equipment to assemble components for fluid/cryogenic systems, test stands, and test cells.

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years of experience in basic hand tools and assembly processes.
  • High School diploma, GED, or time equivalent work experience.
  • Ability to interpret basic engineering drawings and specifications accurately.
  • Ability to lift 50lbs and comfortable working at heights and/or in confined spaces.
  • Proficiency in digital tools, including Windows and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen, permanent resident, or legally admitted refugee.

Responsibilities

  • Pipe and hanger fabrication support and basic fit-up assistance.
  • Assist with the setup of new production work areas and ensure tooling is configured for safety and efficiency.
  • Operate material handling equipment such as forklifts to facilitate production processes.
  • Support Continuous Improvement projects to enhance safety and efficiency.
  • Maintain clean work areas, participate in 5S, and reduce Foreign Object Debris (FOD).
  • Move parts and tooling between work centers to optimize workflow.
  • Support inventory movement and delivery between buildings to meet production schedules.
