Job summary

Blue Origin seeks an experienced tooling fabrication professional to lead fabrication and assembly efforts for large tooling components. You will interpret welding blueprints, optimize fabrication processes, and ensure manufacturability while collaborating with design and engineering teams.

The role emphasizes strong attention to detail, safety, and quality as part of advancing aerospace manufacturing capabilities at our facilities in the United States.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10+ years in tooling fabrication and assembly, preferably aerospace.
• Strong model/blueprint interpretation skills for welding and tool assembly.
• Excellent communication and teamwork in fast-paced environments.

Responsibilities

• Engage in design prior to the PDR phase and drive fabrication changes.
• Implement changes to accommodate in-house fabrication capabilities.
• Provide final approval for manufacturability.
• Coordinate build sequence with fabrication planners across development processes.
• Interrogate CAD models for fit, form and function.
• Develop inspection plans and final inspection reports for tooling.
