Job summary

CNH is seeking a quality professional to identify, implement, and administer quality functions ensuring product quality and conformance to customer and industry specifications. This role collaborates with engineering and manufacturing teams across the enterprise.

Responsibilities include reviewing processes for conformance, analyzing quality data, maintaining specifications and data sheets, supporting audits, and assisting with development/design processes; ISO principles emphasized.

Qualifications

• Specific skills, proficiencies, and knowledge in field related to position, as identified by department leadership.
• Understanding of ISO principles and manufacturing processes are preferred.
• Knowledge of quality assurance techniques such as APQP or PPAP.
• In supplier quality positions—knowledge of procurement, strategy, and market drivers.
• Professional certification in quality assurance may be required (CQE, PE) or obtained in a reasonable timeframe.
• High level of customer service skills.
• Knowledge of manufacturing techniques is preferred.
• Well-developed problem analysis and problem-solving techniques.
• Proficiency with a computer, including use of Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Team player with minimal supervision.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Review processes (internal or supplier) for quality conformance issues and identify improvement opportunities.
• Perform analysis of quality data to identify defect causes and implement improvement plans.
• Assist in establishing and maintaining specifications and technical data sheets.
• Ensure conformance with ISO quality management system and conduct quality system audits.
• Assist with product development by identifying specifications and possibly qualifying suppliers.
• Provide engineering assistance to internal teams or external customers.
• Stay informed about developments in engineering methods and applications.
• For supplier quality, may negotiate price and contracts for high-dollar-volume purchasing.
