Job summary

Pursuit Aerospace is seeking a Quality Engineer I to support operational and development programs toward zero-defect outcomes. You will assist with inspections, non-conformance management, and documentation while helping to implement and maintain the quality system.

Based in Stuart, FL onsite, you will work with cross-functional teams to analyze data, write procedures, and support continuous improvement initiatives in a fast-paced aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Aerospace Engineering, Materials Science or Metallurgy, or 4+ years aerospace quality experience.
• Authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basis without sponsorship.
• Ability to work subject to ITAR/EAR regulations.

Responsibilities

• Assist with writing procedures and data collection/analysis.
• Review customer PO, specs, and eng drawings for quality compliance.
• Support First Article Inspections (FAI) and manufacturing quality plans.
• Maintain and improve the Quality Management System (AS9100, NADCAP).
• Inspect raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products for quality conformance.
• Support MRB activities and disposition of non-conforming material.
• Conduct gage R&R studies and other measurement system analyses.
• Identify root causes of quality issues; implement CAPAs.
• Assist supplier audits and develop quality improvement plans.
• Flow-down quality requirements to suppliers and purchasing.
• Collaborate with production and engineering to resolve quality issues.
• Participate in 5S, Kaizen, LEAN to improve quality systems.
