Job summary

EssilorLuxottica in Foothill Ranch, CA, is seeking an APQP Quality Engineer to support New Product Development and minimize product failures across manufacturing and end-use. You will apply continuous improvement, data analysis, and lessons learned to prevent failures early in development.

You will work with Design and Project Engineering on new eyewear models, present quality performance to production teams, lead root cause analysis, and drive DFMEA/PFMEA and risk reduction tools.

Qualifications

• BS Degree in Engineering with 3+ years in Quality/Engineering
• Experience applying statistical quality tools (MSA, Cpk, SPC, sampling plans, control plans)
• Ability to lead root-cause analysis and risk mitigation activities

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Design and Project Engineering on new eyewear models meeting quality and timelines
• Present quality performance data to Manufacturing teams regarding yields and concerns
• Lead product failure analysis using structured problem solving and experiments
• Drive risk reduction via DFMEA/PFMEA and prototype testing at checkpoints
• Prioritize tasks across concurrent projects in a fast-paced environment
• Assemble and present reports using Excel and Minitab
• Maintain strong cross-departmental customer service
