Job summary

Clinkenbeard, based in South Beloit, IL, is seeking a full-time Quality Engineer / CMM Programmer to develop, program, and operate CMMs for inspection of complex cast and machined parts. You will translate drawings and GD&T into robust inspection plans and work with engineering, production, and quality teams.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated skills in Quality Engineering and Quality Management to design, implement, and sustain effective quality systems and processes.
• Experience in Quality Control and Quality Assurance to monitor production, verify compliance, and support internal and external audits.
• Ability to manage Product Quality, including developing inspection criteria, reviewing test data, and ensuring customer requirements are consistently met.
• Proficiency in CMM programming and operation (e.g., PC-DMIS or similar), including setup, measurement routines, and data analysis for complex geometries and GD&T.
• Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, models, specifications, and tolerance schemes for aerospace and industrial components.
• Familiarity with AS9100 / ISO 9001 quality systems; experience in a machining, casting, or aerospace manufacturing environment is highly beneficial.
• Effective problem-solving, root cause analysis, and corrective action skills, with attention to detail and a focus on continuous improvement.
• Solid computer skills, including use of CAD/viewing software, ERP or MRP systems, and standard office applications.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work
