Job summary

General Motors in the United States is seeking a Quality Engineer to analyze production processes and ensure product quality for internal and external customers.

You will partner with Manufacturing to resolve quality issues, drive corrective actions, and act as the technical liaison to customers, supporting BIQ and GMS compliance.

This onsite role requires strong problem-solving, PFMEA/PPAP knowledge, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams to deliver robust quality improvements.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree or 3+ years in Quality, Supplier Quality or Manufacturing.
• Proficient in facilitating structured problem-solving activities.
• Knowledge of PFMEA, Process Control Plans and PPAP.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Monitor part quality performance and drive corrective actions.
• Resolve manufacturing quality issues with customers and teams and ensure corrective actions are approved.
• Lead cross-functional problem-solving and BIQ initiatives to improve quality performance.
• Support IATF 16949, GMS, and BIQ certifications compliance.
• Maintain documentation of Launch Manufacturing Quality Readiness Reviews and PFMEA updates.
• Coach and audit GM Quality Manual elements and BIQ principles.
