Job description

Are you a Quality Engineer who thrives on solving complex manufacturing challenges and working directly with customers? We’re hiring a hands-on Quality Engineer who can take ownership of quality concerns, drive effective problem-solving, and help improve product quality in a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment.

Job Summary

We are looking for a Quality Engineer to strengthen our manufacturing quality operations and customer relationships. You’ll work closely with production and quality teams to investigate manufacturing issues, prevent defects, and implement improvements that deliver measurable results.

This is a fully onsite opportunity for someone who enjoys being directly involved in manufacturing operations, collaborating across teams, and tackling technical challenges rather than spending the entire day behind a desk.

What You'll Do
  • Lead investigations into manufacturing quality issues and customer concerns, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions that prevent recurring problems.
  • Serve as a key point of contact for customer quality matters, helping resolve concerns and maintain strong relationships with automotive customers.
  • Support Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) activities, including PFMEA, process flow diagrams, control plans, measurement system analysis (MSA), and statistical process control (SPC).
  • Analyze dimensional inspection results, engineering drawings, and manufacturing data to identify quality risks and improve process consistency.
  • Partner with manufacturing, engineering, and production teams to strengthen quality processes, reduce defects, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
What You'll Bring
  • At least 3 years of relevant quality engineering experience, ideally between 3 and 5 years in a manufacturing environment.
  • Proven experience managing customer quality concerns and using structured problem-solving methods to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
  • Hands-on experience with APQP processes and supporting quality documentation.
  • The ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, dimensional reports, and manufacturing inspection data.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with confidence working directly with customers and cross-functional manufacturing teams.
  • A bachelor’s degree in Engineering is preferred, although equivalent relevant experience is accepted.
  • Experience in automotive manufacturing, particularly with OEM quality requirements, is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with GD&T, CMM reports, IATF 16949, and Six Sigma methodologies or certifications is a plus.

We offer a competitive annual base salary targeted around $90,000, with straight-time overtime compensation for eligible additional hours.

If you’re ready to take ownership of meaningful quality challenges, work closely with manufacturing teams and customers, and make a direct impact on product reliability, we’d love to hear from you.
