The Quality Engineer will play a critical role in ensuring the organization maintains its reputation for excellence in precision manufacturing.

This position will lead quality initiatives across production, drive continuous improvement, and ensure compliance with ISO/TS 16949 and customer-specific requirements.

My client is a precision metal stamping manufacturer with over 60 years of expertise in die stampings. Serving industries such as automotive, medical devices, electronics, and aerospace, my client is known for its commitment to quality, innovation, and long‑term client partnerships.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and oversee quality engineering activities across manufacturing operations.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems in compliance with ISO/TS 16949 standards.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and corrective/preventive actions (CAPA) for quality issues.
  • Partner with engineering and production teams to improve processes and reduce defects.
  • Manage supplier quality, including audits, evaluations, and corrective actions.
  • Prepare and present quality metrics, reports, and improvement plans to leadership.
  • Train and mentor team members on quality standards, tools, and best practices.
  • Support customer audits and ensure compliance with client‑specific requirements.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product reliability and customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in quality engineering within manufacturing (metal stamping or precision components preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of ISO/TS 16949 (ISO 9001 minimum)
  • Proficient in APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, and MSA methodologies.
  • Proven experience leading quality initiatives and managing cross‑functional teams.
  • Excellent problem‑solving, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Experience with supplier quality management and customer‑facing audits.
  • Proficiency in quality tools and statistical analysis software.
