Job summary

MPI invites a quality professional to own customer issues from root cause through resolution while leading initiatives across IATF 16949 compliance, audits, PPAPs, PFMEAs, and CI. You will collaborate with engineering, manufacturing and leadership to drive product quality and operational excellence.

In this hands-on role, you will maintain the QMS, support audits, and lead continuous improvement projects that elevate quality metrics, customer satisfaction, and business outcomes.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years in manufacturing quality environment.
  • Experience with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 14001 or similar quality systems.
  • Experience supporting APQP, PPAP, product validation, or new product launches preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and improve the quality management system and CI initiatives.
  • Participate in internal, external, and customer audits and ensure compliance with standards.
  • Develop and improve quality processes, inspection methods, and documentation.
  • Investigate quality issues using data analysis and root-cause methodologies.
  • Drive quality planning activities: risk assessments, control plans, validation.

Job description

This is a great opportunity for a quality professional who wants to make a visible impact, owning customer issues from root cause through resolution while leading critical initiatives across IATF 16949 compliance, audits, PPAPs, PFMEAs, and continuous improvement. You'll work directly with engineering, manufacturing, and leadership teams in a hands-on environment where your expertise drives product quality, customer satisfaction, and operational excellence.

Description
  • Support and maintain the organization's quality management system and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Participate in internal, external, and customer-facing quality audits while helping ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Develop, implement, and improve quality processes, inspection methods, and supporting documentation.
  • Investigate product and process quality issues using data analysis, root cause analysis, and corrective action methodologies.
  • Drive quality planning activities, including risk assessments, control plans, process documentation, and validation efforts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve manufacturing processes, product quality, and customer satisfaction.
  • Monitor quality metrics and provide timely reporting to support operational and business objectives.
  • Lead or support problem-solving efforts related to inspection results, customer concerns, and process performance.
  • Assist with new product launches and ongoing production by ensuring quality requirements are effectively implemented and maintained.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and help implement solutions that enhance quality, efficiency, and compliance.
Profile
    • 4+ years of experience in a manufacturing quality environment.
    • Experience with customer quality requirements, corrective actions, and quality improvement projects.
    • Experience supporting APQP, PPAP, product validation, or new product launches preferred.
    • Experience with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 14001, or similar quality management systems preferred.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
    • Working knowledge of quality tools and continuous improvement methodologies.
    • Ability to interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
    • Experience using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
    • Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) and process capability analysis.
    • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to work effectively with customers, suppliers, and internal teams.

Job Offer
    • Base salary: $80,000 - $95,000, depending on experience level
    • Profit sharing 10-15% of annual salary
