Job summary

Hanon Systems is seeking a Quality Engineer in Ohio to lead customer, supplier and plant quality activities from APQP/PPAP launches to current production concerns. You will drive containment actions, root cause analysis and robust permanent corrective actions within the company’s 8D framework.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in manufacturing quality, exposure to AIAG standards, PFMEA/Control Plans, MSA/Gauge R&R, and a strong customer-focused mindset.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of AIAG quality standards (DFMEA, PFMEA, CP, PPAP).
• Six Sigma Green/Black Belt certification preferred.
• Strong leadership and communication skills.
• Focus on meeting customer expectations and continuous improvement.
• Expertise with PFMEA and Control Plans.
• Experience with TS16949 / IATF standards.
• Understanding of GD&T and measurement system analysis.
• Proficient 8D problem solving.
• Experience with OEM quality processes.

Responsibilities

• Supports compliance to the current Hanon Business and Quality Operating Systems.
• Monitors plant launch activities including APQP, run at rate, PPAP, and safe launch approvals.
• Coordinates containment actions, root-cause analysis and permanent corrective actions per 8D.
• Manages supplier and in-plant quality issues to ensure conforming product for production.
• Monitors measurement outputs, calibration, MSA, Gauge R&R, DV/PV/IP, quality controls.
• Ensures customer expectations are met on a continuous, timely basis.
• Demonstrates strong responsiveness and quality mindset with cross-functional teams.
• Collaborates with other departments to support plant business.
• Proficient in customer portal and adheres to related schedules.
• Attends Hanon program meetings, Product Development calls and Customer calls.
• Maintains knowledge of customer requirements and interface points.
• Tracks activities in Global Quality Portal and related systems.
• Maintains an environmental, health and safe work environment per procedures.
