Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Quality Engineer for the Colorado Manufacturing Facility, working weekend shifts (Fri-Sun, 6:00 AM–6:00 PM). You will ensure machined components meet drawings, specs, and procedures, and support documentation, troubleshooting, and nonconformance tracking for hypersonic defense systems.

The role emphasizes attention to detail, self-direction, and teamwork within a fast-paced environment, with exposure to AS9100 and MRB processes and cross-functional collaboration.

Qualifications

• US citizen with the ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of experience or Master’s with 2+ years.
• Experience with non-conforming materials, failure analysis, root cause, and corrective actions.
• Experience writing QMS documentation aligned with AS9100.
• Ability to read/interpret blueprints, CAD models, and AS9102 documentation.
• Ability to review contracts and quality clauses; develop verification procedures.

Responsibilities

• Support manufacturing, assembly, integration and testing for aerospace/defense manufacturing.
• Perform site quality planning, QA requirements analysis, and nonconformance coordination.
• Review and approve new/revised drawings and process plans.
• Conduct quality inspections of components and assemblies; document nonconforming material.
