Job summary

Leidos Defense Sector – Colorado Manufacturing Facility in Colorado Springs is seeking a Quality Engineer 2nd Shift to ensure machined components and assemblies meet drawings, specifications, and QA procedures. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering with 2–4 years of experience (master’s with 2+ years accepted).
• Ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance.
• Experience with non-conforming material, failure analysis, and corrective actions.
• Experience interpreting contracts, drawings, and AS9100 requirements.

Responsibilities

• Support manufacturing, assembly, integration and testing for aerospace/defense.
• Analyze QA requirements, develop inspection/test procedures and process plans.
• Review and approve new/revised drawings and process plans.
• Perform quality inspections of components, subassemblies and assemblies.
• Document nonconforming materials and coordinate dispositions.
• Support collection of Quality Metrics and drive corrective actions.
• Lead internal quality audits and root cause investigations.
• Ensure adherence to AS9100, customer, and regulatory requirements.
