Job summary

Leidos Defense Systems Sector in Colorado Manufacturing Facility seeks a Quality Engineer for the weekend shift (Fri–Sun, 6:00 AM–6:00 PM). You will ensure machined components meet strict quality standards per drawings and procedures, support documentation, and track non-conformances impacting hypersonic defense systems.

Requires a DoD Secret clearance (or eligibility), relevant degree and QA/QMS experience; familiarity with AS9100 and AS9102 is preferred.

Qualifications

US Citizenship with ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance.
Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of experience or Master’s with 2+ years.
Experience with non-conforming material, failure analysis, and corrective actions.
Experience writing QMS documentation per AS9100.
Ability to read blueprints, CAD models, and AS9102 First Article Inspection docs.
Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs and work Fri–Sun 6am–6pm.

Responsibilities

Support manufacturing, assembly, integration and testing for aerospace and defense manufacturing.
Analyze QA requirements and develop inspection/test procedures and process plans.
Coordinate review of nonconformance documentation and support root cause/corrective action.
Review and approve new and revised drawings and process plans.
Perform quality inspections of components, subassemblies and completed assemblies.
Document nonconforming materials and coordinate MRB dispositions.
