Job summary

Autoliv is seeking a Problem Solving Leader to drive the investigation, containment, and resolution of complex quality issues across customers and manufacturing operations in Ogden, Utah. You will lead the Problem Solving Team, guiding 8D investigations, root cause analysis, and CAPA implementation to eliminate root causes and prevent recurrence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering; equivalent combo of education and experience may be considered.
• Proven experience leading structured problem-solving initiatives, including 8D, root cause analysis, and corrective/preventive action implementation.
• Strong engineering and manufacturing background, preferably automotive or quality-focused production.
• Lean Six Sigma Green Belt certification or equivalent continuous improvement experience.
• Knowledge of quality management systems and auditing practices, including IATF 16949 and/or ISO 9001; Internal Auditor/Lead Auditor certification.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional problem-solving activities for customer complaints and critical internal quality issues.
• Facilitate 8D investigations and root cause analysis using structured methodologies and quality tools.
• Develop, implement, and validate corrective and preventive actions to eliminate root causes and prevent recurrence.
• Coordinate containment activities and collaborate with Operations, Engineering, Manufacturing, Customer Quality, and Supplier Quality teams.
• Analyze quality data, trends, feedback, and production performance to drive continuous improvement and improve plant quality.
