Job summary

Teledyne Reynolds, a business unit within Teledyne Defense Electronics, LLC, seeks a Quality Assurance professional to support program quality and customer interface in a defense/aerospace setting. Based in Torrance, CA, you will collaborate with engineering and manufacturing to ensure compliance with stringent quality requirements.

Responsibilities include reviewing customer requirements, investigating product failures, supporting internal audits, and maintaining quality documentation in line

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical or other STEM related discipline.
• Understanding of customer contract review, quality requirement flow downs
• 3 years quality assurance or related engineering experience (aerospace/aviation preferred)
• Must be able to read and interpret Engineering, Quality, and Manufacturing drawings including specifications, standards and procedures
• Experience working in an ISO 9001/AS9100 quality management system environment
• Must be familiar with the application and use of mechanical inspection techniques and measurement tools
• Experience in managing calibration preferred.
• Experience in RCCA/PA, continuous improvement, fishbone analysis, and 5 Why methodologies

Preferred skills and capabilities:

• Ability to set and achieve goals
• Understanding of quality processes
• Familiarity with DCMA/Gov’t Source Inspection
• Knowledge of six sigma tools
• Statistical software, (i.e. Minitab, JMP, R)
• CMM Programming
• Ability to work independently
