Job summary

Teledyne Technologies Incorporated, a leading provider of enabling technologies for aerospace and defense, seeks a senior quality leader in Torrance, CA. You will lead the site Quality function, set strategy, and drive performance aligned to business priorities, while owning the AS9100/ISO 9001 QMS and regulatory compliance.

You will oversee audits, root cause investigations, and supplier quality, delivering executive-level quality metrics and risk reporting.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in STEM (or equivalent experience).
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in aerospace or defense programs.
  • Strong expertise in aerospace Quality Management Systems (AS9100, ISO 9001, AS9102).
  • Proven leadership in quality engineering, manufacturing, or design.
  • Experience leading teams and managing supervisors or technical staff.
  • Deep knowledge of root cause analysis, statistical process control, and quality tools.
  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and statements of work – required.
  • Experience in electronics or high-reliability manufacturing environments is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the site Quality function, setting strategy, goals, and performance metrics aligned to business priorities.
  • Serve as the primary quality contact for customers, government, and regulatory bodies.
  • Own and continuously improve the Quality Management System (AS9100 and ISO 9001).
  • Lead internal, customer, supplier, and third-party audits and drive timely corrective actions.
  • Oversee root cause analysis, corrective and preventive actions, and failure investigations.
  • Drive continuous improvement using Lean, Six Sigma, and similar methodologies.
  • Manage supplier quality, including audits, corrective actions, and performance monitoring.
  • Lead inspection, testing, and product acceptance across manufacturing operations.
  • Chair Material Review Board activities and manage nonconformance and risk decisions.
  • Deliver executive-level reporting on quality metrics, risks, and improvement initiatives.

Salary Range

$96,600.00-$128,800.000

The anticipated salary range listed for this role is only an estimate. Actual compensation for successful candidates is carefully determined based on several factors including, but not limited to, location, education/training, work experience, key skills, and type of position.
