Commercial Vehicle Group (CVG) in Vonore, Tennessee, is seeking a Quality Engineer to ensure products, processes, and systems meet customer and internal quality requirements. The role supports APQP activities, problem solving, continuous improvement, and compliance with IATF 16949 standards.

You will lead quality planning, monitor processes, and coordinate containment and corrective actions while working with manufacturing, engineering, and customers to resolve quality concerns.

Qualifications

• Requires 2-year or associate’s degree in Engineering/Engineering Technology or similar, plus 5+ years in manufacturing quality.
• Proficiency with AIAG Core Tools (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA).
• Experience with customer portals and OEM quality requirements.

Responsabilités

• Lead quality planning activities including APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plans, and MSA.
• Monitor manufacturing processes for quality compliance and customer requirements.
• Investigate customer complaints using 8D, 5 Why, and Ishikawa methods.
• Coordinate containment, corrective actions, and preventive actions for quality issues.
• Conduct internal process audits and support external audits.
• Analyze quality data, SPC trends, scrap, rework, and warranty metrics for improvements.
• Review engineering changes and assess quality impact on products and processes.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, and customers to resolve quality concerns.
• Maintain compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, and ISO 14001.
• Manage customer communication within portals and systems.
