Job summary

Flowserve in Taneytown, Maryland, is seeking a Quality Engineer to support quality control programs, translate customer specs into product criteria, and develop control plans. You will help sustain a robust Quality Management System aligned with ISO 9001:2015 and product certifications.

The role requires a BS degree with 5-7 years of experience, auditing skills, and experience with FMEA, CAPA, and process improvement.

Qualifications

• BS or BA in a relevant field and 5–7 years of experience.
• Interact with Commercial Operations, Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing and Field Service to evaluate failure trends and quality issues.
• Lead Auditor in Quality Systems course or equivalent.
• ISO 9000 / ISO 9001 training or equivalent.
• Experience with dimensional inspections and non-destructive testing (NDT).
• Understand Mechanical Design and Geometric Tolerancing.
• Six Sigma Black Belt/Green Belt preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Assist Quality Manager in development, implementation and monitoring of quality systems and procedures.
• Audit documents and processes to ensure compliance with ISO 9001 and site standards.
• Develop quality inspection plans to meet customer PO and contract requirements.
• Coordinate CAPA activities including root-cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Provide quality support across order entry through delivery and through cross-functional teams.
• Drive continuous improvement and data analysis to identify risks and opportunities.

## Quality EngineerApplylocations: Taneytown, Maryland UStime type: Full timeposted on: Posted Yesterdayjob requisition id: R-20442**Role Summary:**As a QA Engineer, you will support the development, implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of quality control programs, procedures, and systems. This position involves the translation of customer specifications and industry standards into product / process criteria and creating control plans to achieve those requirements. You’ll also coordinate the site activities to sustain a robust Quality Management System that meets both ISO 9001:2015 requirements, applicable product certifications, customer requirements, and regulatory standards.**Responsibilities:*** Assist Quality Manager in development, implementation and monitoring of quality systems and procedures.* Monitor and perform auditing function to assure compliance to systems and procedures.* Create necessary documentation for ISO 9001 Certification and all site specific applicable standards.* Ensure compliance with applicable manufacturing and regulatory standards.* Lead advanced quality planning efforts including customer needs analysis, FMEA and development of product & process quality plans.* Develop quality inspection plans to ensure customer purchase orders and contract requirements are met.
