Job description

Our manufacturing client is currently seeking a Quality Engineer to join their Mountain Top, PA location. On site position. Open due to growth.

Responsibilities

• Develop and revise QMS procedures, work instructions, and documentation
• Train employees on quality system requirements and best practices
• Lead and participate in internal quality audits
• Develop, track, and complete CAPAs to support QMS improvements and performance metrics
• Apply quality testing methods and ensure alignment with customer and regulatory requirements
• Serve as the primary QA contact during customer and supplier assessments and material qualifications
• Review and release product according to established quality requirements.
• Build effective working relationships with customers and internal departments
• Analyze product performance trends using tools such as SPC, DOE, FMEA, and other statistical methods
• Address customer quality concerns and drive problem-solving efforts
• Support new product development, cost savings, and continuous improvement initiatives using quality data
• Promote consistent use of QMS tools and statistical methods across the facility
• Interpret and apply relevant industry standards, test methods, and customer specifications; train staff as needed
• Provide leadership to assigned staff, including performance guidance
• Lead facility tours and explain quality systems to visitors
• Assist or back up the QA Manager as required

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 2+ years quality or manufacturing engineering experience. Will also consider a Bachelor’s degree in scientific/technical field with 5+ years of quality or manufacturing engineering experience.
• ASQ certification or equivalent body of knowledge is highly desirable (CQA, CQE, CQT, Six Sigma GB/BB)
• Strong communication, analytical thinking, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills
• Experience working directly with customers, suppliers, and cross-functional teams
• Knowledge of quality tools, methodologies, and regulatory requirements
