Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a technical field with at least three years of manufacturing quality experience, or a high school diploma or equivalent with at least eight years of relevant experience.
• Quality experience within an automotive Tier 1 or Tier 2 manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of IATF 16949 and ISO 9001.
• Hands-on experience with APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, and Control Plans.
• Recent AIAG Core Tools training or willingness to complete updated training within the first year.

• Support customer quality reporting, corrective actions, and problem resolution
• Maintain compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, customer-specific requirements, and the plant Quality Policy
• Review process audits, finished-product inspections, warranty data, and supplier PPAP files
• Partner with plant teams, customers, suppliers, and Corporate Quality to improve product and process quality
• Investigate significant quality concerns and communicate findings across the organization
• Maintain required testing, reporting, and compliance records

Quality Engineer | Automotive Manufacturing

Permanent, Direct Hire

Up to $95,000 annually, depending on experience

We are partnering with an automotive manufacturer in the Nashville area to hire an experienced Quality Engineer. This role will work with customers, suppliers, and plant operations to resolve quality concerns, support product launches, and maintain compliance with automotive quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Control Plans, PFMEAs, DVP&R documentation, standardized work, and PPAP submissions
• Support customer quality reporting, corrective actions, and problem resolution
• Maintain compliance with IATF 16949, ISO 9001, customer-specific requirements, and the plant Quality Policy

Required Qualifications

• Strong analytical, root-cause analysis, and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of FMVSS 205, ECE R43, and CCC product compliance requirements
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel occasionally to customer assembly plants

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, 5S, Six Sigma, and Total Quality principles
• Intermediate to advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
