Job summary

Deceuninck North America in Monroe, OH is seeking a Quality Engineer to oversee manufacturing processes and drive improvements using Six-Sigma, DMAIC, 5S, Value Stream Mapping, FMEA and capability studies to boost efficiency and Customer satisfaction with measurable KPIs.

You will collaborate with the operations team to foster a quality culture, manage training records, and contribute to the ongoing development of QMS policies and SOPs, with Green Belt certification preferred or pursued.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering as stated.
• 3–5 years in manufacturing plant quality improvement projects.
• Green Belt certification or willingness to obtain; Black Belt preferred.
• Excellent communication, presentation and leadership skills.
• Experience with SOP writing and quality management systems.
• Experience with SAP or other ERP systems a plus.
• Statistical analysis experience (Minitab).

Quality EngineerDeceuninck North America is seeking a Quality Engineer for its Monroe, OH facility. This is a highly analytical role that is responsible for the constant review of manufacturing processes to identify quality Improvement opportunities that will result in increased efficiency, cost savings, scrap reduction and Customer satisfaction through measurable KPIs (Key Performance Indicators). This position will also require the use of advanced Six-Sigma tools (DMAIC), 5S, Value Stream Mapping, Process FMEA, Capability studies etc… as the foundation for each of the projects.Core Responsibilities:Work with management to identify new quality improvement opportunities.Communicate with customers on quality issues and identify solutionsAnalyze and identify opportunities to reduce process variation, improve process capabilities and optimize process performance.Evaluate and analyze current process metrics and performance to identify areas requiring improvements.Works collaboratively with operations team to foster a quality culture, identify improvement opportunities and utilize LSS tools to define root cause and corrective actions.Co-ordinate the implementation, monitoring and review of quality training recordsAssist with ongoing development and implementation of effective quality management systems, policies and procedureAbility to communicate confidently with a range of stakeholdersMay be required to perform other duties as requested, directed or assigned.Qualifications:3-5 years of experience in manufacturing plant; plastic extrusions highly desired3-5 years of experience successfully managing quality improvement projectsProficient knowledge of Six Sigma and standardized lean techniques and concepts (Green Belt Required (or be willing to get certified), Black Belt Preferred)Must be able to work effectively both independently and within a teamMust have a passion for customer commitment for both Internal and external customersMust be a self-starter and deadline orientedMust have excellent Communication, Presentation, and leadership skillsMust have excellent project management skillsPrevious experience writing SOPsProficient in MS programs, particularly Excel and PPT, smartsheet (plus)Experience with SAP or other ERP systems a plusExperience with analysis and interpretation of data gathered from Manufacturing execution systems (MES)Comfortable with public speaking, developing training visualsStatistical analysis experience (Minitab)Education Requirements:##### Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, Manufacturing) or similarSponsorship is not available for this position
