Job summary

Danfoss Drives is seeking a Quality Engineer to strengthen quality systems, improve product reliability, and support operational excellence across the facility. You will collaborate with manufacturing, operations, and supplier quality to meet customer expectations and industry standards.

You will develop and maintain quality documentation, lead root-cause analyses, and drive continuous improvement with a focus on defect reduction and process excellence.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering or Industrial Engineering or related technical field.
  • Experience with quality engineering tools and methodologies (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC) and RCA.
  • Lead auditor certification is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and collaborative skills.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support quality improvement initiatives, including defect tracking, nonconformance investigations, data analysis, and corrective action implementation.
  • Facilitate root cause analysis, CAPA activities, and cross-functional problem-solving to resolve quality issues.
  • Develop, maintain, and improve quality documentation (FMEAs, Control Plans, SOPs, work instructions, inspection plans).
  • Partner with production and suppliers to address quality concerns and drive timely resolution.
  • Conduct internal audits and strengthen the QMS and manufacturing processes.

What You’ll Be Doing
  • Lead and support quality improvement initiatives, including defect tracking, nonconformance investigations, data analysis, and corrective action implementation.
  • Facilitate root cause analysis, CAPA activities, and cross-functional problem-solving efforts to resolve quality issues and prevent recurrence.
  • Develop, maintain, and improve quality documentation, including FMEAs, Control Plans, SOPs, work instructions, and inspection plans.
  • Partner with production teams and suppliers to address component and material quality concerns while driving timely and effective resolution.
  • Conduct internal audits, support compliance activities, and identify opportunities to strengthen the Quality Management System (QMS) and manufacturing processes.
What We're Looking For
  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or another related technical field.
  • Experience with quality engineering tools and methodologies, including APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement practices.
  • Solid experience with Quality Management Systems, including ISO 9001 and/or IATF 16949; lead auditor certification is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and drive projects to completion.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $65,000- $95,000 + bonus + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.
