Job summary

Aebi Schmidt Group is seeking a Quality Engineer to lead problem-solving and continuous improvement across cross-functional teams. You will develop quality documentation (PFMEA, control plans, PPAP) and implement inspection and process controls to ensure product conformance.

You will monitor quality metrics, lead defect reduction initiatives, and support product launches while ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 and lean principles. Strong communication and data analysis skills are essential.

Qualifications

  • Associate or Technical degree required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering preferred.
  • ASQ CQE certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide problem-solving leadership to direct corrective action and improvements.
  • Lead and implement continuous improvement activities and monitor data for trends.
  • Develop quality documents such as control plans, PFMEA, flow charts, PPAP, and 8D.
  • Create inspection and process control requirements and operator instructions.
  • Lead containment activities with quality management and report results.
  • Analyze specifications and monitor processes to develop quality methods and documents.
  • Resolve daily quality assurance issues and drive defect reduction.
  • Lead team meetings and present technical information to customers.
  • Ensure customer and internal requirements are met and support product launches.

Regular Employee | Salary Exempt | $80,000.00 - 90,000.00


What you'll do:

The Quality Engineer position is responsible for providing problem-solving leadership to the organization, directing cross-functional teams for corrective action resolution, leading, and implementing continuous improvement activities, monitoring key measurement data for trend analysis and areas for improvement, and complying with established quality system registration requirements, procedures, and objectives.



  • Developingquality-related documents - control plan, PFMEA (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis), flow chart, PPAP, 8D, etc.

  • Creating inspection and process control requirements and operator instructions

  • Leading and assisting Quality management with internal containment activities

  • Leading problem-solving activities for internal and external issues, implementing countermeasures, and reporting in an appropriate format

  • Analyzing engineering and customer specifications and monitoring operational processes to develop quality control methods, practices, and process documents

  • Resolvingdaily issues related to quality assurance activities

  • Leading team meetings and presenting technical information to internal and external customers for defect reduction activities

  • Implementing customer product quality and system requirements

  • Ensuring both customer and internal requirements are met

  • Representing Quality in the Product Launch team

  • Performing associate training, as needed

  • Developing and maintaining professional, collaborative, and productive working relationships with all levels of the organization


What you need to be successful:


  • Associate or Technical degree required (Bachelor's degree in Engineering fieldpreferred)

  • American Society for Quality CQE certificate preferred

  • Minimum of two years' experience in quality systems, specifically in theISO9001 standard

  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing and the relationship to quality improvement

  • Project management experience and working knowledge of Microsoft Project

  • Working knowledge of data collection and data analysis

  • Clear understanding of quality system tools and standards

  • Strong and consistent attention to detail

  • Self-motivated with the ability to stay on task

  • Team oriented

  • Versatile, flexible, and a willingness to work within constantly changingpriorities

  • Advanced computer skills are required
