The Job:
As a Quality Engineer, you'll be part of our Allentown, PA team working as an Onsite employee. You'll get to:
- Engage daily with the appropriate Operations and Engineering personnel, helping to facilitate daily problem-solving and effective corrective action
- Utilize statistical techniques and preventive action methods to evaluate, initiate, identify, and control sources of variation detrimental to quality, cost, and schedule targets, including, but not limited to , quality and cost data analysis, root cause analysis, corrective and preventive action investigations, process validations, and supplier quality integration tasks.
- Responsible for all quality procedures and processes, corrective actions required, and supporting all supplier quality aspects regarding new products and new supplier approvals.
- Gather and process quality data and provide monthly reports both internally and externally for the company as required, then utilize this data to drive continuous improvement relative to Safety, Quality, and Productivity.
- Facilitate and provide valuable input to the DFMEA & PFMEA processes, ultimately creating control plans for all manufacturing processes with a strong focus on embedded process controls / error-proofing.
- Support the Non-Conforming Material Review (NCMR) process as required, ensuring an expedient root cause analysis and disposition process is maintained.
- Perform and develop PPAPs as required.
- Responsible for performing or leading measurement systems analysis (MSAs) as required.
- As required, define, establish, implement, train, and monitor quality plans for incoming inspection, in-process inspections, and finished goods inspections. Includes test equipment, gages, inspection procedures, frequency of inspections, forms, records, boundary samples, masters
